Glenn Gulak at work in the Univeristy of Toronto's Testing Collaboratory
Dr. Glenn Gulak, Principal Investigator of the Advanced Digital Systems Lab at the University of Toronto.  The lab is one of four highly specialized test facilities that comprise the National  Microelectronics and Photonics Testing Collaboratory

CMC Microsystems develops and delivers test products and services to enable researchers to test or verify the functionality of microsystems, components or systems, and to demonstrate proofs-of-concept. CMC Microsystems enables microsystems testing and verification using the best available tools and access to specialized, nationally-shared test facilities. This capability is enhanced by the on-going implementation of the National Microelectronics and Photonics Testing Collaboratory, a virtual laboratory that enables researchers to access world-class microelectronics and photonics test tools and techniques online at universities across Canada.

  • Test Equipment Pool: Equipment available on short-term basis, which researchers can use for limited periods of testing or, more generally, analyzing electronic subsystems and components that might be used in such systems
  • Testing Collaboratory: Four world-class, industrial quality testing laboratories, accessible and controllable both through local access and via high speed networks
